Do not let your loneliness convince you to date someone who’s not going to make you happy or someone you don’t really love. Do not let loneliness make you compromise your heart or the kind of love you always wished for.

Do not let your loneliness make you question yourself, your looks, your life or your priorities. Do not let your loneliness make you think that there’s something wrong with you. Do not let your loneliness be the reason you give up on yourself or hate the world.

Let your loneliness serve as a transition, as solitude, as some time alone you need so you can maybe know yourself better or resolve your childhood issues or maybe it’s there to serve as a reminder that your own company is not too bad, it’s not too much. Your own company is enough.

Do not let your loneliness convince you that you’ll always be alone, that this will always be your life. Don’t let it convince you that you have to change or settle so you can get out of it. Do not let your loneliness drive you into a dangerous territory — one that makes you believe that you have to be like everyone else or change your values or change your heart so you can fit it, so you can have dates every weekend, so you can have plus ones to dinner parties and birthdays.
